End of October, we could already welcome the first Siberian seagulls to Kunming. In the meanwhile, it seems that the've all arrived as the lakes and channels in and around Kunming are densely populated with migratory birds. Find out, where it's best to watch them between October and March.

As every year when it gets colder in the northern hemisphere, thousands of Siberian seagulls migrate to Yunnan to hibernate in the relatively mild climate of South China. Usually, we are expecting them in November earliest but this year, they somehow are in a hurry and arrived in October already.

It's winter in the northern hemisphere and migratory birds head south. Some of them hibernate here in Yunnan. Many local wetland parks are the wintering grounds for birds from the cold north. Do as the birds do: come to Yunnan! And bring your binoculars.
